Exclusive: Liverpool hand Adam Lallana bumper new deal to fend off PSG and Spurs

Liverpool have been keen to tie down Lallana who has enjoyed a stellar season since being moved into more central role by Jurgen Klopp.

He now enjoys wage parity with James Milner and Daniel Sturridge who are amongst the highest earners at Anfield after doubling his money.

Only Philippe Coutinho earns more than the England trio after putting pen to paper on a new £150,000 a week contract.

Paris Saint-Germain’s director of football, Patrick Kluivert has been keeping tabs on Lallana this season and was ready to make a move this summer.

While Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino was also keen on reuniting with the 28 year-old who he managed at Southampton.

Lallana has scored seven times in the Premier League for Liverpool which is just two short of his best top flight return which came in his final season at Southampton.

He had two years left to run on his contract and will now be staying at Anfield at least until the end of the 2020/2021 campaign.
